Mr Gopolang Enoch Makokwe - Chairman

Mr Gopolang Enoch Makokwe (aged 42) is a mining engineer with over twenty years' experience in the mining industry. He started his career with Anglo American's Gold and Uranium Division in 1987 and progressed through the ranks from being an underground miner to becoming a section manager in a production and projects environment, and later attached to the business development office at AngloGold's corporate head-quarters in Johannesburg.

Mr. Makokwe pursued his own entrepreneurial interests since 1998, founding companies involved in diamond mining, platinum exploration and mining contracting to clients in the coal, gold and platinum industries, road construction and housing development.

His understanding of the mining and business environment in South Africa and interest in sustainability has led him to focus his interests in developing opportunities to extract value from mining waste streams and low cost feed stocks.

He brings clear strategic thinking to his role in the Company and in identifying the Company's opportunities within the coal beneficiation, value creation and the Company's role in environmental stewardship.

Mr. Makokwe earned a bachelor's degree in mining engineering at Wits University in Johannesburg as well as an MBA from IESE Business School in Barcelona. He also participated in the Sustainability Leadership program at Cambridge University.

MR ALEXANDER JOHNSON - CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Mr Johnson has extensive knowledge of the coal fines and mining industry, with a particular focus on mining, mineral processing and oil and gas exploration and development in Africa.

Mr Johnson had been acting as corporate advisor to Luca Tenuta (CEO until 2010) for several months, in this time acquiring an in-depth knowledge of the company’s operational practices. It is this holistic company insight coupled with his knowledge of the coal fines and mining industries that make Mr Johnson a welcome addition to the company’s strategic board.

Mr Shakil Ahmed Raja - Finance Director

Mr Shakil Ahmed Raja, (aged 47) joined Lever Brothers & Co, Accountants, in 1987. He qualified as a Certified Accountant in 1995 and was appointed a partner at Lever Brothers in 2002. Shakil acts for a broad range of clients and has over 23 years' experience in general practice, including auditing, taxation and client matters and all aspects of accounting, including bookkeeping. He advises clients in a wide range of industries, many of whom are based outside the UK. Shakil has experience in systems, administration and control.

MR WAYNE V REID - NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

The Australian Wayne V. Reid took over as Chairman of Worldwide Natural Resources in February. Mr. Reid can look back on a wide range of experiences in top management of companies from a variety of business areas such as, banking, insurance, pharmaceuticals and consumer goods. Until it was taken over by General Accident, Mr. Reid was an Executive Director of Jarden Morgan Europe responsible for both investment banking and the UK stock broker Paul Morgan UK.

He has been a Director of over 20 listed companies. Amongst the companies he has been a Director of are the international board of pharmaceutical company Nicholas Limited and Kiwi Boot Polish Limited that manufactured in 42 countries around the world. Wayne Reid was also chairman of the Italian Insurance company RAS Australasian subsidiary for over 10 years. When starting his management career he was executive CEO of Quarrying, one of Australia's largest asphalt and ready mix concrete companies employing over 800 people.

Aside from his business activities Mr Reid was strongly engaged in sports management both as President of Melbourne Football Club and founding chairman of the Australian Davis Cup Foundation and the Asian Tennis Tour as well as being a former professional tennis player.

MR GEORGE GORING - NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Mr Goring is a new arrival to the board and brings to Worldwide Natural Resources Plc 10 years experience in the digital communications industry, most recently sitting as a Director for Technophobia Limited, one of the UK's fastest accelerating web technology companies. Mr Goring also has interests in the hospitality sector, most notably being part of the prestigious Goring Hotel family.

Mr Goring has substantial experience in business modelling and early stage technology incubation having taken several early stage companies to market.

Mr Goring's main focus for WNR will be the company's growth strategy.
